Cow hoof is a long-lasting chew for dogs. It is sourced from grass-fed, free-range cows, and is made primarily of keratin, a type of protein. Hooves are considered a nutritious treat as they do not contain just 'empty calories' - in fact they are rich in calcium, phosphorous and low in fat!
Chewing on cow hooves also helps release endorphins, which in turn keeps the dog happy and minimize their anxiety. Chewing also promotes dental hygiene - it helps scrape off plaque and tartar build-up on your dog's teeth.
Recommended chew time is 30 minutes at a time.
Always supervise your dog while chewing. The hoof may splinter or break off when intensely chewed, so if any part of the hoof breaks off, please remove immediately.
Always keep water accessible to your dog.
Do not give hoof chews to puppies under 8 months old because their teeth are still soft and developing (give our boneless treats instead!)
Cow hoof is priced per piece.
